Setting up an email account.

You must contact us first so we can set up the postoffice box on the server. We will need to know what you want for an email address and a password.

POP Account Disk Space

We have increased the quota to 150 MB disk for POP accounts. It is very rare for a POP mailbox to exceed this size, so the change will not affect many people. However we feel it is necessary to prevent 'forgotten' (unused) mailboxes from gradually growing in size. Also, occasionally people let their mailboxes grow into the hundreds of megabytes. This is not a feasible mailbox size for shared servers as downloading mail from such a large mailbox can cause an undue strain on system resources. Please note too that our terms and conditions suggest that all clients set their mail software to delete mail from their server promptly after downloading.
For those clients whose mailboxes exceed the 150 MB quota, regretfully their mail will be bounced until they reduce the size of the mailbox. As stated above though, this quota will affect very few clients so we hope you do not find it inconvenient.

We employ spam filtering on email accounts. Emails that are blatant spam are delivered to your Junk E-Mail folder. This folder is accessible from the webmail interface or through an IMAP account. You should login periodically to the webmail and check the contents of the Junk E-Mail folder. Messages that are 30 days old or older in that folder are automatically deleted.
Email message size
A single email message is limited to 25mb in size. We recommend you "zip" all attachments to conserve space. Sending pictures in JPG format is recommended because of their compact size.
